I would like to compliment your town and people for an unforgettable experience last week when we visited you on a cruise ship.
The welcoming band and the the smiling faces and welcoming people of shops and cafes was very notable.
I am even slightly embarrassed as a grown man of 58 standing on the deck when we departed watching and listening to the band that played – (all obviously from the local community) that tears filled my eyes and I had to look away to stop my wife seeing I was crying with emotion!
Having visited many cities around the world, both my wife and I commented that Skagen was so nice, so clean and so welcoming and have been telling everyone since we got back to UK about your fine town and people.
Congratulations to all, you should be very proud of yourselves . We will be back – for sure!.
Oh, and while most people pick up little trinkets on their travels, I now have a very large trinket fixed in my main living room now – although I did get some funny looks while bringing it back to the ship!
